Evidently, the GUI interface isn't set up to configure SSL hosts and it looks like I have to configure the ssl.conf file separately. Recently, I've found a need to set up SSL hosts on the machine. It has built in GUI configuration for Virtual Hosts and a number of other features. I run MAMP Pro on my iMac Core 2 Duo and it really works pretty well for an Apache - PHP - MySQL package.
